In 2001, I ventured to the northwest corner of Montana on a fishing trip, but also took my mountain bike.  I had seen a program on ESPN Outdoors about this rails to trails area and wanted to see it.  My fishing on the Madison River had put me behind schedule and I had to do the 30 mile ride in around three hours.  I would like to go back some day and take a liesurely ride and enjoy the scenery.  I started at the east end in Montana and rode fifteen miles into Idaho and turned around and rode back .  I discovered that wearing glasses is a big detriment when returning through the long tunnel.  Having worked up a sweat on the uphill return, as soon as I entered the tunnel, my glasses foogged up and, even with the light on my bike, I could barely see where I was going.  Here are a few pictures that I took on the return ride.  I highly recommend this ride.
